Rear fog light Jspec

Recommended Posts

My car already has a rear fog installed by previous owner(s) but its not working

I have a switch next to the ignition which gets its power from the dimmer switch and is fused. the little light is not lighting up on the switch

Wiring and fuses look fine, ive even tried another switch which also did not work

Checked the bulb and it also works fine if i swap it into the reverse light on the other side

Im stumped!

Anyone have any ideas or is it going to need completely re-doing?

Is having the switch spliced into the dimmer switch the way people normally do it\?

Im just waiting for the old man to turn up with his volt meter to test it.

Its a 3 prong switch though yer, no idea which is on or off as the led doesnt work on the switch lol

Ill have to check it all with the meter

Sorted now....the wire connection from the dimmer was a bad connection and fiddling with it had blown the fuse for the dash lights.

All soldered properly now and working but the bulb is half white half red so need to try and find a red bulb now or get a new bulb and paint it
