Kammy
Hi Guys, I am starting to get the brake warning light to flicker on and off as I am driving. This comes on whether I use the brakes or not and stay on for a few seconds before going off. I have checked the fluids and everything is fine, the brakes don't make any noise. The car just passed the MOT in April after it had been stood over winter. Has anybody ever had this or knows what the cause could be? Also and again this is random, the car sometimes struggles to start requiring a good long turn and hold of the key to get it fired up. I have had the battery tested and supposedly it is fine. Everything electrical works fine. I do not get the battery light on the dash to indicate a problem with the alternator - the lights do come on and off as they should on start up. Can anybody help or suggest anything to rectify these issues. Any help is appreciated. Many Thanks Kam
Gpro
Is it just the hand brake light thats comes on? I had a similar problem but mine was all the dash lights would come on and off every now and then. It ended up being a loose connection in the fuse box As for starting maybe a knackerd starter motor?
mattdavies
I think this is the same problem a few people have, you just need to top your brake fluid up, even if it looks like there is enough just full it to the max. This should solve it, if not there is no harm in doing it
