NA-T mapping problem

Did you use resistors with the injectors, if so were they the correct value?

Seems like I was wrong in my last reply to your post. The car is running low impedance 550's without a resistor. Could that be the cause of the issue?

Well if the pressure drops off then there simply isn't enough fuel flow to cater for what's needed, it's all going out the injectors but there isn't enough of it. Either a restriction between the pump and the injectors, or the pump isn't seeing enough voltage.

I'll have to go down there tomorrow and see what they say. Will update this as soon as I get any news. Thanks again for all your help Ian really appreciate it :)

Which model AEM is it, the older plug and play units deff required a resistor pack for low imp and worked fine without for high imp, hence plug and play like the stock unit.

It's an AEM PN30 1101. I'm guessing that its one of the older units right?

I know it might be a pain, but it might be worth considering changing back to the 330's and trying it then. If it resolves the problem you can at least be running and isolate the issue.

That's only taking into considering the injectors obviously.

Problem with most single/na-t setups, you change so many components it's hard to fault find which one is the problem.

Just try and remove each component until you find the concern.

I take it they followed the installation instruction for that model ;)

In particular this part which states the injector resistance which is high impedance :-

Injector Resistance: 13.4-14.2 Ω

Pretty sure it's the injectors now so I'm going to swap them out today. Hopefully that'll sort the problem.

Lol I actually read that last night and saw on page 4 that it states "if using low impedance injectors a resistor pack must be used". Going to call them today and either find a resistor to fit or change the injectors. Fingers crossed that should solve the problem.

Personally I would bin the low impedance and go for some PE high impedance injectors, no resistor pack to worry about and once less thing to go wrong ;)

Will have a look in the for sale section and see what's available. If I can find some suitable injectors for a good price I'll go with high impedance injectors as you suggested instead of the resistor pack :)

  • 3 weeks later...

Turns out the low impedance injectors were the problem, silly mistake really. All sorted now with a resistor pack fitted and will be mapped tomorrow. Thought I'd post the solution incase it happens to any other members.

Thanks again for all the replies, really appreciate it :)

Good luck with the mapping. Let us know how it goes
