listy
If it is turbo's mate I've got a good set of J-spec twins that have done about 60k should you require them. Cheers for the offer mate If it smokes with no throttle after idling for a while, thats turbine oil seals, the little blip is just to increase the exhaust flow. If the VSS were bad enough to smoke while driving you'd expect a good size cloud of smoke when cold starting It wont be that much oil mate. I had a Soarer with a shot seal, the exhaust housing was damp with oil, not tons. It takes a little oil to make a lot of smoke. I'm going to try and clear out the garage in the week, so the Supra can get in there. Hopefully I'll have some form of diagnosis at the weekend. I'll try all these tests, and photograph the results, and I'll do a startup video too. Hopefully I get a warm day, so any moisture in the exhaust is gone first. Swampy442
Just a thought, if you can get a boroscope whip the O2 probe out and have a look up the exhaust.

listy
I had a random 5 minutes today, so went out to the garage and started the Supra. Hasn't been started since Sunday, so a good cold start, and its been warm and dry here all day. On start up, there is no smoke whatsoever. I didn't manage to get her up to temperature in the short amount of time I had, but with a blip of the throttle, on occasion, a bit of white (possibly with a blue tinge) came out of the exhaust. When I turned her off, there was a small amount coming out of the exhaust still. I'm not sure if there was any residual moisture in the exhaust, as I said, it didnt get up to temperature, so unsure (as it was a very small amount) whether its oil burning off, or moisture in the exhaust. I'll have more time at the weekend to get her warm and check again.
