scooby_doo_do
Had a users laptop in today as he's been stupid enough to turn on passwords but can not remember the User password or the Administrator Password and the guest acount is disabled. I think we are going to have to take the drive out and bring it up in a caddy so we can get the pics he wants off it, then rebuild it.. Unless any of you have a program or any other ideas how we could reset them? I've seen a few on the web but they charge you and don't think they will work.. Thanks. JustGav
You have got a few choices... You can either use one of those linux boot cd's which apparently gets round it... Or the better and more elegant solution is to use a windows pe boot up disk.. check out http://www.nu2.nu and you can make yourself a network aware win32 boot up cd Gav

michael
User Stupid = No Care Reimage it and tell him to either do regular backups or important data or stop fooking around with things he doesn't understand. We lock ours down so the users can't do anything major.
