T14PPA
Im fitting my air fuel ratio gauge and im not sure which wire is the signal wire on the o2 sensor to solder the gauge wire. Any help please?
mellonman
might help if you let us know what afr gauge you have
Tricky-Ricky
Err your fitting a gauge to the std narrow-band sensor? if so its practically useless, all it will show is rich or weak, not the actual AFR, you need a wide-band setup for that. mellonman
yeah sorry what rick said i thought you was on about what wire from your wide band was the signal wire

mellonman
non its narrow band and is totally unreliable out of stoick (14.7) thats all it is looking for
Tricky-Ricky
Toyota wire colours are usually blue for signal, but its really is a waste of time fella.
T14PPA
Ive realised that now lol. Has a mind of its own. To be honest i liked the look of my gauges. Anyway of using my gauge with a wideband? Thanks for the help boys
Tricky-Ricky
No you will need a dedicated wide-band gauge/controller, there are plenty about, Innovate, AEM, OBX etc. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTS.php http://www.aemelectronics.com/
Fly
I have the innovate and it's a cracking piece of kit
T14PPA
Thanks boys. Is this one of the more important gauges? Where does oil temp wire in?
bigbloodyturbo
Innovate has my vote also, two analogue outputs which are programmable very easily to output a wideband 0-5v or a narrowband simulator. You can also set the linearisation for the 0-5v output in the software. Also has an easy calibration with a pushbutton. All of the above helps a lot if your trying to feed an input on an aftermarket ecu.
Pulley
innovate , i have the mtx set of gauges and the LM-2 and its very accurate and fast the innovate afr gauge is one of (if not the) fastest most accurate afr available in the 300 and under bracket
T14PPA
Ill probably buy that one. Where does oil temp gauges go
Tricky-Ricky
Ill probably buy that one. Where does oil temp gauges go You will need a gauge with a sender to see oil temps, there is no oil temp as std, sounds like you have an N/A? in which case unless your going N/AT then your notlikelyy to need an AFR gauge, the N/A stays in closed loop until WOT. Tricky-Ricky
Sorry thought you had an N/A, if you have a single turbo fitted then yes definitely fit a decent wide-band, what ECU are you using?

Fly
if its just Ts and Ps why not buy a sandwich plate for th eoil filter and then senders from there to the gauges, any decent oil temp or pressure gauge should come with a sender unit
T14PPA
Ts and ps? Whats that lol. Yes i might look into them
