I am also American, born and raised in NYC (Staten Island)

Hell yeah baby, that's three, we're takin over! j/k. Don't get anxious boys.

No really.

The commas and zeros, forget it. We run a trade deficit for a reason. Doesn't seem to be hurtin' that bad. I for one think that oil and Walmart will be the death of the U.S. economy. When the fall out ends, there will be a lot of countries in shambles. I like living overseas and will keep it that way as long as possible. Time to cash in the chips fellas. The ole' lady is ready for bed. You know what that means.......

I personaly think that the yanks have done more for us than we like to admit ...lets take films, coke, Car tunning ( we all love our cheap parts) in fact quite a lot of us I would bet would love a yank tank in one way or another?, lets see what else ..tools ( snap on gota love em ) fake boobs .( love them more ) the list is endless..i wont go on for fear of getting flamed. So the debt from the war does it outweigh what we have in lifestyle now ? who Knows....lets just think if there was ever a war again I'm damn sure I know who I would want on side ...Gulp

That's interesting - tell me more about how you view Walmart in the US? We're sorta getting towards their kind of retail store with Tescos (my local one has started selling DIY stuff now as well as clothes, household stuff, DVDs, games, electrical items, etc, etc). I can see the day when we won't have so many specialist shops and you'll just visit one store to get everything. How are Walmart viewed in the US?

Walmart are taking over the planet! The local Adsa here was already one of the biggest stores in the country but when WalMart bought Asda they almost immediately knocked it down and built a new one twice the size. They sell absolutely everything. Furniture, computers, bikes, two aisles of car products, etc etc.

It's quite handy if you need something at two in the morning because they're always open and they stock almost anything you can think of.

IIRC, they're the worlds biggest retail company.

Walmart, although cheap and conveinent, kills mom and pop stores and forces you to buy what they sell. You will lose specialization eventually. Walmart doesn't care about anything but making money. Once they corner the market and run off/buy out competitors, they go to the companies that supply them and start dictating what they will buy their products for. They treat their people like sh*t. There was just a big special on "the telly" about it.

Walmart requires that every company that has products in it's stores must have a HQs in Arkansas in the same place that Malmart is HQ'd so business doesn't require the head office to travel or use the phone. Walmart kills the little guy who's trying to get ahead. Walmart Bad. Walmart is the devil. Don't f*cking shop there and don't buy their f*cking stock. I f*cking hate Walmart and you should too.
