Mace
How easy is it to get rid of the diff cooler on the uk spec? The diff is going in to my jspec n/a along with engine gearbox prop etc. I don't think I need it and to be honest don't want the hassle of fitting all the pipe work when it looks on its last legs. I've seen similar posts but no real solution. Is it just a case of bypassing the cooler and looping the oil straight back to the diff and thats all you can do? Homer
Just bypass it, it's really not needed unless you're using it for hard track days. It is however possible to recreate the lines and cooler from Chinese parts if you want to retain it, the coolers were about £20 last time I checked. Original coolers are around £180, if they are still available.
Kaan W
Just cap the ports for the lines if you don't want it.
Homer
Just cap the ports for the lines if you don't want it. They need to be bypassed, not capped. However for the life of me I can't recall why! It was discussed here a very long time ago but I can't find the thread...
Mace
Theres a pump circulating the fluid so if you capped it, it might go pop??.. easier to bypass probably. I'll look when I take it off..
Dnk
Just connect the outlet pipe to the inlet pipe so the diff oil is pumped round in a loop but not going to the cooler
