markssupra
Quick update, got the wastegates plumbed back into the downpipes again. I had new flanges laser cut and just tacked them in position enough so that I can remove the downpipes and get them properly welded. Removing the old heat wrap was nasty! Is Titanium heat wrap any good or just use the normal wrap? Edited August 28, 2014 by markssupra (see edit history)
TheTurtleshead
Did you forget to turn the gas on on your mig welder? I have a similar jigsaw sitting in the garage at home, looking forward to getting stuck into it when I have time.
markssupra
Lol, not worried as long as they stay in place when I take them off and weld properly. I'm not doing that though Found a really helpful guy on Ebay for the stainless steel flanges I had laser cut. Emailed him a CAD drawing and I received them within 2 days, good price as well I thought at £14 each. Luxluc
Nice progress. I love the details on your setup. I hope to see the beast in flesh once finished. Are you going for an ethanol capable fuel setup?
Kaan W
I would use the proper titanium heat wrap Mark, it can handle double the heat of regular fibreglass wrap and is also easier to use and doesn't itch your skin either. Also with the fibreglass wrap you are infact meant to seal it afterwards with a special silicone based spray for it to last.

Are you going for an ethanol capable fuel setup? Thanks Luc, no ethanol yet, just want to get it running with what I have as I bought the complete fuel setup off Lee. I dont mind updating it again in the future I would use the proper titanium heat wrap Mark, it can handle double the heat of regular fibreglass wrap and is also easier to use and doesn't itch your skin either.
