Pig
Is anyone on the forum technically minded enough to help with my dash2 install. Ryan set it up years ago but a garage kindly blew it up so I had to get it repaired. I now have it back and am massively struggling with the software install (I have read the manual and tried researching). It is physically installed in the same way but I cannot get it to display the correct results, Ryan has a file but is struggling to find it which means I need to start from scratch. I began by up loading the file on the syvecs forum but the isn't even reading the RPM. I will be contacting race technologies and going on their forum but if anyone has any knowledge they can share it would be much appreciated as I would like this up and running before the Dragonball. I know it is not the physical wiring as when I first plugged it in, it was reading all the info apart from fuel but when I try to upload a file or make any changes it loses what ever info it came with and all the info it had stops working. Thanks Jon
a98pmalcolm
Hi mate. I had a nightmare with mine and ended up taking it to race Technologys to set it up for me. Chances are it needs reflashing then upload the DAT file that works best with supras. After that you will need to enter the gear ratios. Then put a piece of tape on the floor and your wheel in line with one another then reverse OR drive forward to let the wheel do one full rotation then transfer the the tape from your wheel onto the floor and measure the distance between the 2 pieces of tape and that needs to me programmed in. That is totally the opposite of what I wanted to hear! Have you got a dat file? Might make a good starting point? Wez
I should have all my files on an old laptop somewhere which I can dig out later. There are three parts that need to all be configured to work together, the Syvecs custom can profile must match the Race Technology can bus adapter configuration, then the dash needs to be configured to know what to look at and where to get it from. Oh, that's prob why the file on the syvecs forum isn't working as I am on the aem. Anyone running dash2 and aem? IMI is dropping me his file so hopefully that will work
Pig
Spoken to Ryan and it is a file to work with an AEM that I need. Anyone got an AEM that is running the dash2? If not, no prob I will speak with race technology on Monday.

Wez
Hmmm, the AEM is serial out isnt it, not CAN bus so I am guessing you do not have a Race Technology CAN bus adapter and have wired the AEM direct into the Dash2. If so it would just be a matter of configuring the Dash2 to work with the AEM serial stream, I guess it uses the AEM telemetry output which is the same for the AEM serial gauge.
