Air Con connections? Decent garage near Huddersfield.

I am just asking on behialf of a customer of mine.

He has a MkII Supra and is having problems getting his aircon regassed. He has apparently been to Kwik Fit and the connections on their machine are for newer cars.

I am not well up on these connections but both his and that of the MKIV sound like they are the same with what is described at a larger version of a shraeder valve on a car tyre. He describes the ones on newer cars as a "push fit" connector like you get on hose pipes.

Surely most decent garages have both sets of fittings for older and newer cars? I know my local garage in Wigan can do it but I don't want him driving all the way over here for something so simple.

Anyone got their aircon regassed near Huddersfield recently?:search:

Cheers

he'll also likely be struggling with the older version of the refrigerant I would imagine. Can't help in Huddersfield I'm afraid.

Thought it was a long shot. I never had any trouble getting my NA done but he's an 88 model I think. MkII anyway.

The problem was the connections, not the refrigerant apparently.

Cheers anyway Mike.

Ask Martin to have a wonder round when he's at uni as there's a lot of garages around Huddersfield town centre that may be able to help.

Yep I know. I have given him a number of a moble guy local to him. He was asking me yesterday so I said I'd put the feelers out with the MKIV lot.
