trinitom Posted April 24, 2013 Share Posted April 24, 2013 I had a quick look on the search but didn't find any answer for my problem. the problem is a grinding noise coming from the tunnel area, it gets louder in 5th gear cruising at low speed, but I can notice the same noise in 2/3/4 gear. it seems to be getting worse with the time, I have also noticed that if move the gearshift wile in gear the sound changes a bit in tone. I have read somewhere that can be a rubber on the gear linkage. anyone had the same problem? really need to get this sorted as the car is for sale at the moment, and want this fixed before it goes. thanks. Motor went out for an oil pump change, since everything has been mounted back together there seems to be a " singing " sound which is most noticeable in 5th gear.
