Guest RJAfarrier
Hi guys, my names Rich, iv owned a 95 TT auto for about 4 years so probably should of joined up on here a long time ago . Iv just recently taken the car off the road to do some work on it and hopefully free up a fair bit more power and was hoping i could get some advice form some of the more experienced tuning guys on here. What i was planing on doing iv never heard of being done before. Im toying with the idea of removing the stock twins, fabricating 2 3 into 1 manifolds and then remounting the stock turbos but positioned like the HKS gt2835 twin set up. I know it sounds crazy but my thinking behind it is basically making the ultimate TTC set up with much freer flowing exhaust manifolds and charge piping. Plus it would give me more room to explore different hybrid turbo option based on the stock turbos. I hope all that makes sense haha. Would just like input on the idea from people more experienced that me. Thanks guys
mellonman
Sounds like alot of work for little gain, if your going to that point with the stock turbos you might as well just go single with a better more up to date turbo
Nic
Sounds like alot of work for little gain, if your going to that point with the stock turbos you might as well just go single with a better more up to date turbo A lot of work for negligible gains, the stock turbos are very laggy when run in parallel, hybrid turbos even more so, a medium frame double ball bearing single turbo would be much simpler and give far better results. Tricky-Ricky
Its not worth the work fella, i had set up that was similar but not the separate manifolds, first with std turbos, and then with hybrids, it was OK but nothing that great, and i even had a piggyback that i mapped specifically for TTC mode. JasonR24
If you want to do something different, design and build an up to date sequential system capable of higher power
mellonman
If you want to do something different, design and build an up to date sequential system capable of higher power that would be good dbb turbos with billet wheels would be a awsome car slightly larger turbo , could easy get to 500bhp in sequential i would love to see that , maybe get david P on the case for his next supra project
