Split hose replacement

Hi all,

I've been experiencing some weird problems with my TT lately. I thought I fixed it with a new O2 sensor but the issue remains.

This morning I tracked the probable cause down to a split vac hose.

Unfortunately this seems to be on of the most difficult hoses to reach.

You can see the split in this picture.

If my research was correct this(and the one next to it) runs to the pressure tank.

How on earth do I replace this??! Is the pressure tank reachable from below (on a ramp)?

Any tips would be great.

I finally managed to get to it by removing the pipes to the Idle Air Control Valve. But even then it was a real PITA!

Lets hope I never have to do this again. It seems to have done the trick though. But I still need to get my car tuned properly.
