Boost and variable weather

Just out of curiosity,

I have an Apexi AVCR boost controller, depending on the air temp outside you have to adjust the duty cycle to get the desired boost. If it is too cold out she can over boost or too warm out and she will under boost (She is setup based off the MKIV.com tuning guide), get very annoying adjusting the overall duty cycle and the Start duty cycles if she starts under/over boosting in X gear

Is it possible to get some form of (after market ECU I presume you need) to adjust your boost to the desired level regardless of outside temps ; form of dynamic boost controller that is intelligent enough to adjust your duty cycle to your desired boost level

turn you feed back speed up mate i found that it helps with over boosting and general solinoide responce, but you will always see a little differance but we are talking 0.0*

ie if you are set to 1.1 boost i really only see differeance of say 1.08 - 1.12 (which is something like 1/2 a psi).

also the avcr does what you are asking if it is set to learning mode it changeds the duty cycle accordinly,

maybe you should set up again the gear judge and lower your start duty as i expect you may boost spike when changing gear

i had massive over boost on mine and upped the feed back speed to way above that i will let you know tonight what i have mine set too for referance

thanks

My Duty cycle 45-48 mark @ 1.2 desired boost

Feedback is 211111, I know the guide says 3 2 2 2 2

Start Duty, I mainly have to curb this on 3rd and 4th gear due to over boosting (up to minus 2 - 4)

Everything get thrown out of wack when the Air Temperature either goes up or down, you have to mess around with the settings again

how much are you going out then?

Now the outside air temp has increased she is falling well short of 1.2, during cold air temps she would over boost up to 1.3+ if you kept your foot in

Everytime I get in the car I find myself having to keep messing with the duty cycle or Start duty cycles if she is over/under boosting in X Gear

how did you get on with this did my figures help?

Sorry forgot to get back to you, she spools a lot quicker based on the FB settings; I reset my start Duties to 0, she is still peaking around 1.12 mark but a little less in most gears , I need to RAISE Duty Cycle

Definitely an improvement for overtaking, she comes on song a lot quicker now; I need an oil change, engine and diff plus I think my exhaust I fitted has started leaking again; getting her serviced on Friday so will turn her up on the way home :)
