Marco79
Been looking and can find no one stop shop on Headgasket requirements (thickness, brand) for different builds so thought I would start one that people in the know on here can fill in the blanks I understand there could be a couple of options on some but in general there is one that the majority go with Stock NA HG Thickness = Stock 0.4mm Preffered brand = OEM Resulting compression ratio = 10:1 NA/T with stock internals HG Thickness = Preffered brand = Resulting compression ratio = NA/T with TT pistons HG Thickness = Preffered brand = Resulting compression ratio = Stock TT HG Thickness = 1.5mm Preffered brand = OEM Resulting compression ratio = 8:5:1 TT BPU HG Thickness = 1.5mm Preffered brand = OEM Resulting compression ratio = 8:5:1 Single turbo (not so easy as many different piston/gasket combo's available) HG thickness = Preffered brand = Resulting compression ratio = Edited April 17, 2013 by Marco79 (see edit history)

listy
TT BPU is "as stock" as far as I'm aware. I haven't heard of anyone changing it for BPU anyway.

Noz
I think NA with stock internals with OEM Mr T HG would be suited. The dimensions for this are listed by fly on the whos doing NA-t thread
Fly
I posted this yesterday in NA-T engine builders its also in club na-t under technical. There isnt any point changing a bpu headgasket. T.T. pistons with T.T. head-gasket = static compression 8.1:1 ~ Capacity for more boost than bottom end can take and give a laggy launch ~ Squish 3.25mm T.T. pistons with N/A head-gasket = static compression 9.0:1 ~ Good for 2 Bar (99 RON) ~ Squish 1.14mm (750? bhp) N/A pistons with T.T. head-gasket = static compression 9.2:1 ~ Good for 1.8 Bar (99 RON) ~ Squish 2.15mm (700? bhp) N/A pistons with N/A head-gasket = static compression 10:1 ~ Good for 1 Bar (99 RON) ~ Squish 1.14mm (500? bhp) This is obvioulsy info on using a NA block rather than the stock tt block where the compression ratios listed at the top stand true I think OEM gaskets are th way to go!!
