Anyone got any ideas the only thing I have not swapped over is the abs pump but they look identical and the plugs fit , only thing I noticed the two relays that are bolted to the front under the passenger headlight one says abs/trac but the na does not have a plug for this

What looms exactly did you swap over?

The engine loom came with the engine, then I swapped over the bay loom the one that has the main fuse box etc I did this as my TT one I had done a battery relocation on it and wanted it back to stock dont tell me I need the tt bay loom for the abs to work ?

No the ABS relay for both NA and TT is located in the small black relay box on the D/S strut, the 2 relays under the P/S headlight are for the electric fans but assuming you have the loom from an early model with just 1 electric fan is why there is no plug for the second fan relay. Check if there is a relay in the small black box and if its working.

Cheers Ill check it out and do the pin thing to see if any fault codes come up, although Ive been thinking it probably wants the tt bay loom as why would the abs be effected by the engine swap .

Before stripping down and replacing one wiring loom for another, have you checked that everything else works. Chances are you are looking in the wrong place? Have you had the dash out while working on the car? I have known cases where multi plugs have not been pushed all the way home, and or wires getting trapped, and if that is the case things like say wipers, or erronous warning lights come on.

Have fun ;)
