Advice on broken Odometer

Hey all,

Just need a little advise / fix for a broken odometer - I've had my supra now for a week or so and this is one of the many jobs I need to do!!

As far as I can tell there is no power getting to the Odo and on closer inspection there is a ribbon type cable that is attached to both the lower and upper level of the internals. as far as I can see there is a small (4/5mm) tear in that cable, could this be the source of the problem?? and if so how would I go about fixing that? the next question is how the hell does a cable that is encased within unit and inside the dashboard become torn?? I'll post a pic later when I get chance..

Thanks

Hi mate, I've tried repairing the clocks before on Celica's with no success, I think it would be easier to get a set of second hand clocks. The car looks good in yellow, don't see many that colour. Jay
