Jamesy
I have had a couple of American muscle car imports, I love the way they look, they are very cheap to look after and reliable as they are so simple Summit Racing are superb for modding and there are some good specialists around Go for it Thanks Dean Where did you search when looking for one? Any particular forum or just in amoungst all the other cars on Pistonheads etc? Good to know about the reliability!!! pbryant_knight
I love muscle cars. They hafve a real road presence. I've always like the Firebird Trans Am. There are a lot of Muscle cars that peop,le tend not to think of though. There was the Chevelle SS, The Chevrolet Impala (made famous again in the TV series Supernatural) Pontiac GTO etc, All great cars

TheTurtleshead
Jamesy, if this is what you're going for next; I'd choose from- 65-68 Mustang 69 Camaro 68-69 Dodge Charger Imo the best looking bunch of the era, and the one's with the most kudos. Be warned though, the Dodge's are huuuuge!

garethr
...Any RHD options?? Australia. IIRC some Aussie Chrysler Valiants were officially imported in the early '70s. I think there were some RHD Ford Falcons over here as well. Possibly South Africa?

pedrosixfour
If I was going for a yank then I'd go Nova, just like the way these sit. http://image.popularhotrodding.com/f/32060209+w750+st0/1103phr_20_o+1972_chevy_nova+optima_ultimate_street_car_invitational.jpg But my heart is in Oz so if money was not a constant source of misery I'd be on the first flight over there to secure a big ass house and some of these. http://www.potenza.com.au/cars/xb_coupe/xb-coupe1.jpg http://th06.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2012/188/9/5/__78_ford_falcon_xc_cobra_1_by_the_ic-d56aume.jpg http://www.mrwallpaper.com/wallpapers/new_tn2s/holden-hq-monaro-gts_tn2.jpg
