nickyboy
Have done the searches on these. Does anyone disagree? Blitz: medium volume, good quality HKS: medium volume, but squeaks Sard: loud volume, good quality Turbo XS: loud, low quality Greddy Trust Looking to fit to VVTI tiptronic... Guest Terry S
remember you have an airflow meter...
Nick
Unless you go single I wouldn't bother. I have the HKS SQV and it sounds rubbish, think I'll have it taken off at the next service. When running TTC with an aftermarket intake you hear it more but the money would be much better spent on something else IMO.

mikeyb10supra
Greddy do a good one, as do trust!! IMO if your gonna get one, stick to the Blitz or HKS models, Blitz is good for 800hp+ and can hold slightly more boost that the HKS but both still very good
Jake
Greddy do a good one, as do trust!! Aren't GReddy and Trust are the same company?
mikeyb10supra
Not to sure......the Dump valves look different but may be made by the same company, you could be right Jake? both sound completely different though
nickyboy
remember you have an airflow meter... Actually didn't realise any of the J-specs had this but the VVTi does! Presumably that makes the BOV idea a bit of a non-starter...
Bobbeh
Not really. VVTi Supras in the US still use them.
GeordieSteve
Has anyone tried the XS power BOV? Just interested to see if the poor quality label is becuase someone has actually tried it and it failed or just because it's XS power

Bobbeh
You may be right, the car I was thinking of was a '98 6-speed, but from the engine bay shot it appears to be non-vvti, I assumed that all post 97 ish engines built were VVTi etc. I'll keep looking

You can tell, the engine has a big lump at the end of the intake cam.
Bobbeh
I wonder why that is, or more to the point why they continued to sell the 'normal' engine in the US when the VVTi variant was available.

nickyboy
Just recirc with The VVTi. Easily done?
Guest Terry S
Yes mate, certain BOV's are recirc type, and others sell kits to make them so.
GeordieSteve
With it being a trader comment... I'm going to buy one and test it myself
