ashbuster Posted April 5, 2013 Share Posted April 5, 2013 (edited) ive had a clicking or tapping noise appear in my engine bay, never noticed it before, i hunted all over with a long screwdriver to my ear and found the clicking noise(tapping noise) when i put the end of the screwdriver on the injector rail on the injector nearest the front. i can hear it clearly when the screwdriver is on the rear of it the metal thin bracket and the other end to my ear. this tapping or clicking gets faster when revs increase. is this a dodgey injector or is it a engine rebuild time? hope its not the engine rebuild ps i dont hear this when i put the screwdriver on the block/ not sure if its too thick for me to hear or if it means its not that Edited April 5, 2013 by ashbuster (see edit history) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ashbuster Posted April 5, 2013 Author Share Posted April 5, 2013 i live in gloucestershire now mate but im at my moms at the moment. ive read a few posts around saying that the injectors are noisy sometimes and click. i just havent noticed it before. the car drives as normal and no other problems at all. if it is the injectors i could just leave it on the drive untill i go single (i can tell the misses the car is broken untill i go single lol ) do you injectors click loud enough for you to hear it mate?
