NA -> TT intake manifold

Tsia

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Posted this in the NA-T club section, along with bit of a search but haven't found a crystal clear answer -

Does anybody know the list of parts requires to fit the TT intake manifold onto an NA? Or is it just easier to buy an aftermarket front facing manifold?

Cheers

Dependant on the way you go about it determines what parts are required:

Method 1.

N/A lower runners meet TT upper runners:

'Cut N/A lower runners/cut the TT upper runners, attempt to make them fit together at the cut points'.

Required:

TT throttle cable

TT throttle body

TT plenum

TT upper runners

N/A lower runners

Method 2.

Modify TT plenum onto N/A upper runners:

'Make the N/A upper runners line up with the TT plenum'.

Required:

TT throttle cable

TT throttle body

TT plenum

N/A upper runners

N/A lower runners

Method 3.

Modify TT lower runners onto N/A head:

'Modify the TT lower runners to line up with the N/A head incl. bolting points'.

Required:

TT throttle cable

TT throttle body

TT plenum

TT upper runners

TT lower runners

The na runners are all inline, the tt centre runners are out of line as you can see

Also the injector spacing is different

The na runners and tt plenum as you can see will bolt up together but don't align properly so need extensive modding to mate up

The time and effort I put into doing my na runner-tt plenum conversion would've about the same as me making my own runners and custom plenum

Take a look at my build thread

To show clearly just get the metal na gasket and hold it to the tt plenum
