Parry_10
Hey guys just looking for a bit of help on this as I am not too clued up on it. My intercooler piping size from the turbo to intercooler is 2.5" will this be ok for a 700hp supra? if not I will need to change it for 3" what difference will it make? The outlet on the turbo is 2.5" and the intercooler 3" I think. Chris
Slutters
That will be fine mate. Won't make any difference at that level, maybe take slightly long to build boost on the 3".

Ok mate cheers:thumbs: so really the 2.5 is better than having 3 inch if it will build boost faster.
Kaan W
The way I see it is you could have 10" piping and boost will still come on the same time as the piping is always gunno have air inside even when the cars not running, if there was a vacuum in the piping then spool will take drastically longer as its then got to fill the pipework first then the engine, but it's not so whatever air is in pipework just gets pushed through so I think a bigger pipe is always better as its not as restrictive. Yes mate, that's correct, however when you lift of the throttle and it releases the excess, your turbo charger than has to refill the pipes to positive pressure. This, with 3" pipes will take longer.
