Brothy
Just recently when i either put my foot down or brake hard my warning light and hand brake light appears on my clocks, i have checked my brake fluid and it is at the max level and there is nothing visible that doesn't look wrong or out of place. It is a 94 j-spec N/A. Any advice will be greatful to solving the problem
Twisted
Try topping it up anyway. It may look like it is on max but It won't be. Maybe a mil off. Are your pads low? The brake fluid level is really sensitive. I had this. Changed my pads because they were low and it went
Guest Goss
I had this same issue. I fixed it by filling it past max lol.

Brothy
Brake pads and discs were new last september, i will fill the brake fluid past the max see if that cures it, if not il drop all the brake fluid and bleed it through so its all fresh
Tyson
It might be a loose handbrake cable too ? or dodgy handbrake sensor.

Brothy
I'd do a fluid change if its not been done in a while, Motul RBF 600/660 How many litre should i purchase if i am bleeding the whole system ?
Dnk
I can't remember what the system holds but 1.5 litres should be more than enough as long as you don't have problems when bleeding it. You can buy the Motul RBF in 0.5 litre containers I'd be be inclined to fit a set of braided hoses on there at the same time unless they have already been done. The easiest way to bleed them is using a vacuum bleeder if you can get your hands on one. Samsar
My black NA 5 speed had the same issue. Cruise it to 70 nothing, floor it to 70 and on came the light. After trying pretty much everything I checked the handbrake inside the car. Sprayed WD40 around the linkage and it's not come on since.
