Toucan water and oil temp gauges not working.

Just a quick question for those that have with experience with the Syvecs Toucan display, my water gauge reads 100 degrees and the max marker what it has previously been on reads about 118 degress, also the oil temp reads 90 degrees. Now you probably think thats kind of normal BUT even with a freezing cold start in the morning or regardless of what time of day or how long the cars been running the gauge always displays this as if the needles stuck, but it cant be stuck its an electric display.

Any ideas what this could be or has anyone had a simular experience?

Cheers

Mine reads perfect, could be faulty sensor or even screen

It was working fine for a couple of weeks when I first installed it but then I switched on one morning and thought something wernt quite right. Wierd that both sensors would all of a sudden become faulty exactly the same time, unless an over heated engine could damage a sensor, as said the water temp has reached 118 degress and probably the oil temp too but I forgot what it said before resetting the marker.

Disconnect the battery, wait a while, reconnect and then see if there is any change?

If there are still issues, I'd do the obvious and contact Ryan - he is your man for Syvecs related stuff as you know :)

Yeah I was gunno contact him but I wanted to check first its not something silly that im not knowing about lol. I will try that then contact him if it doesnt solve it. Cheers :)

Have you unbolted the sensors when you've been meddling with the car?

They sound like default fail-safe trip values setup within the Syvecs software.

I have only removed the water temp sensor in the top rad pipe but that was ages ago when I fitted my new rad and it was fine after that and when putting the screen in. Its just recently happened with no messing about with anything.
