removing steering wheel

Recommended Posts

I'm changing my steering wheel and am struggling to get my old one off.

It's a stock 3 spoke, I've undone the torques bolts on each side and the airbag has loosened but wont come off. I've put a bit of pressure on but not too much as I didn't want to break anything if there's something else holding it on that I don't know about.

Should I just give it more 'welly' or have I missed something out?

Cheers

Steve

I changed mine a couple of years ago.

Undo the nut to the end of the thread but don't take it off or you could break your nose when the steering will smacks you in the face! Give it a good smack from behind it should come off, mine came off quite easily after a good whack.
