T14PPA
Ive fitted my single turbo kit and before i put everything back i thought i would start it. However it cranks but does not start unless i use easy start and hold gas down. Pumps working but im wondering if the used injectors i got off a member is working. Any ideas? a98pmalcolm
Turbo shouldn't have anything to do with it. Mine started 1st time. Could be fuel pump or injectors..
safcdixon
What injectors are you using?
T14PPA
I bought pe800cc injectors off sheefa on here. Fuel pump is deffinately pumping through
safcdixon
Hi or low imp? They could need a resistor pack depending which imp they are
T14PPA
They are high imp so i dont need the resistor
dr_jekyll
hang on, have you had the ecu corrected to fuel accordingly with the 800cc?
T14PPA
hang on, have you had the ecu corrected to fuel accordingly with the 800cc? Its still running on the standard ecu. Ive got a standalone hks fcon. But im waiting on ryan to fit and map it. Do you think this could be the problem?
dr_jekyll
thats the problem mate, dont run it like that , you will brake it. untill it has a map for the injectors put the stock ones back in. the injectors are only being pulsed for oem injectors. if it is holding them open for the same duration on 800cc it will be massively over fuelling and the bore wash will lose your compression hence the not starting , the easystart sends compression through the roof so running it on that is not a great plan either

I dont know where to test them. I thought i could run the 800cc injectors calmly untill i get it mapped
dr_jekyll
no mateyoul be doing your cylinder walls and rings no good atall , injectors are controlled by very specific puls times. @43 psi if you hold an 800cc flow rate injector open the same amount of time as a 400cc flow rate injector it will be putting in twice as much fuel. trust me. the oem ecu will not run 800cc injectors. dr_jekyll
a few traders on here can do flowtests. if you pop your oems in it will purr untill you ecu is fitted and mapped for it just stay away from boosting it

I hope the injectors are ok. Ill ask the traders
mellonman
As above massive over fueling, 440 cc vs 800 cc so your almost double the flow if not more with injector responce time, stock back in and stay off boost

Stephendjb
As above, OEM ecu can just about start with 650 injectors I've got it would stand no chance with 800's
Wez
Ino i thought i would get away with it Almost double amount of fuel and will be running rich due to cold start, it has no chance.
Gaz6002
Chris Wilson can do flow-testing.
ashbuster
so would he have to send the ecu off to have a map set to these injectors first? because if he takes the car to the mapper ready to map it means he would have to strip the car down there to change the injectors at the place

Best bet is to discuss with Ryan
