Kaan W
Does anyone know what these 3 connectors are for? They havent been plugged into anything since owning the car and guessed if there for the stock twins and not needed now they can just go as there in the way and look horrible. Here - And also this maybe a dumb question but whats this?

Kaan W
very dumb question Well if you dont ask.... I like to know anything about my car, I know its something to do with fuel, pressure regulator?
pedrosixfour
Last pic is of the fuel filter. Not too sure about the connectors and what purpose (if any) they once served. I think one might be for the stock lambda sensor.

That is an aftermarket sensor of some sort, probably for fuel pressure, possibly for fuel temperature but definitely not stock.

Well the syvecs has a fuel pressure gauge so it must be that. Is this the stock fuel filter?

Ian C
The two pin one probably used to run the wastegate VSV or the EGCV VSV. The four pin one I'm not so sure of from the top of my head. The five pin long one is for a MAF sensor, but I thought yours was a j-spec..? Nope, just checked, you had a UK spec hood scoop. I guess the Syvecs just runs off a MAP sensor. Probably best to leave them in place rather than disturb your wiring, but I can hear the sound of wireclippers already

Ian C
It depends on what you mean by "remove". Stripping all the wiring from the loom seems like a ludicrous amount of work for zero benefit. Clipping the connectors off with wirecutters and taping the ends up seems like asking for a nightmare electrical problem in 2 years' time when a power wire has gotten all corroded and is shorting out. If your car runs okay* with the 4 pin one not connected to anything else then it can probably go -Ian *for a given value of okay

I would rather chop them out the loom completely right back to the footwell boards.
Pipedreams
If it´s UK the 5pin is for the AFM and you can remove it if your on syvecs, the 4pin is a oem lambda and can be removed also. The 2 pin is probably for the oem wastegate vsv and can be removed if you don´t want to use it for wastegate solenoid thru the syvecs.
