R154 in Mk4 Shell

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I was hoping to get some advice and info from anyone on here who has a Mk4 Shell with an R154 Box.

What I want to know is the following 2 things: (Any info on where to go or what parts are needed would be much appreciated)

(1) What did you do to get the shifter to locate centrally in the interior? I have seen the extension modification offered on the 'Driftmotion' site in the USA. Did people get something similar done in the UK or did you use the early soarer housing and swan neck etc?

(2) What gearbox mount did you use?

Basically these ares the last issues I have on my project car...and would love some help from anyone who has already done this?

Cheers

Tommo

I have (what I believe to be) a complete R154 kit to install into my MKIV chassis in the coming weeks.

My gearbox came from a Toyota Chaser so the shifter and bellhousing are correct for the MKIV, as is the gearbox mount.

The subject of MKIII Supra R154s into MKIV chassis has been discussed many times and all the information you need is just a click away, you'll just need to sift through it to find the relevant bits.

Best of luck with the swap.
