ManwithSupra
Hey Rich thanks for the offer I may take you up on that! I have a question already I asked Steve but he was not sure as I am going to leave my bc's on the aero as they do not have the camber tops and are the softer spring rate , do you know the spring rates you have on the nitron's? When it’s finished I will defiantly be up for a joint track day meet. Plan is to have it non-road legal for the pure fact to avoid that Sunday morning temptation, although scrubbing in new tyres, testing suspension and getting a general feel of the car would be nice before a track day. I do not have a trailers license need to do that at some point but my old man has a good towing vehicle and I can hire new trailers for £40 a day from blendworth so think that’s the plan to get it around, do you trailer yours or drive it ?. I can have a look for you mate, IIRC they are written on the springs. Actually you could do us a favour as well could you have a look at your chassis and tell me or photograph where Steve cut the holes for the Nitron remote reservoir grommets? The holes should be around 2 1/2 or 3" in diameter. Or I could pop over and have a look. Yeah, having it road legal has its benefits but also its major downsides. I am thinking of making mine non-road legal after this year and trailering it around as to be honest I don’t really drive it on the road much (apart from driving to a track) plus the clearance of the floor on mine is only 7cm which means I have to plan the journey or do a dummy run before I am due to go to make sure there are no speed bumps in the way etc. I also need to get the licence to tow and I need to get a good tow vehicle, I am thinking of a Navara or L200. £40 a day... I may have to also do that too. I was thinking of buying a used BJ trailer but even the 2nd hand ones are ££££'s It will be good to get both of them out on track and flying the Supra flag proving that the supra not just a good drift car they make awesome handling track cars too. I am planning to do Goodwood a number of times this year as well as Brands, Castle Combe, Silverstone & Abingdon.

Thanks Rich feel free to pop over anytime, or I can take some pictures let me know . Blimey 7cm clearance that's low ! Defiantly Blendworth for the money makes sense as owning a trailer takes up room , service costs ,worry of it getting stolen and for the 40 quid they let you bring it back the next morning first thing which comes in handy . Looking forward to seeing your beast go round Goodwood:)
Guest Thundersports
I hate to tell you Chaz, but they have recently put up their prices to 50 quid for 24 hours, but alot cheaper if you have it for longer, and still a lot cheaper than owning. I hope all is going well mate, the bumper went in for paint today!
chazuk
Any updates mate I've been a bit slack but the aero is back on the road so swapped engine ,swapped all suspension arms, swapped the whole rear end diff prop driveshafts, front and rear big brakes swapped for stock na,speedo clock as the na has a different ratio. Before putting the na engine in I fitted a brand new clutch and stock flywheel new plugs ,oil, water, cam cover seals, new belts, all the usual stuff so it should be sweet for awhile, there is one problem though the pedal on the far right seems to now do naff all . As for the track shell I have de stickered it , fitted a boot lid with inner skin cut away and holes cut for aerocatches, glass also removed ready for a lexan window. Also replaced the rear bumper and front wings as the ones from the na I broke are in good nick so saves on bodyshop time . Ive bought upper and lower super pro bushes for the front arms the bottom ones having the custom camber adjustment soon as these arrive ill bolt my arms up on the front then onto the back Ive bought megan racing adjustable toe and traction arms the rest of the rear end I will super pro. When it arrives I will get pics and update . http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/2351/42l.jpg http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/9749/eccv.jpg Edited June 18, 2013 by chazuk (see edit history)

Graham1984
I live in Midhurst so only just down the road. I normally go in the snooker club with my old man and think you came the other way in your white car one night a while ago, It caught me by surprise as I never normally see any other supras so was looking in my mirrors and nearly smacked into some cars coming the other way

Otherwise it will just act as a nice looking parachute Not used the KW's but heard good things about them including their road range. Actually I had a good lengthy conversation with KW at the Autosport show a couple of years back about their competition 3 way kit - Until I got to the price If you are looking at that level of price for suspension though I would suggest you have a look at Nitrons offering as well. They may be a little more expensive but it may be worth considering.

I can not seem to find a new price of the nitrons do you know ? I guess that kw kit above on mvp is the road going 3 way but Iam guessing its better than bc ,meister, tein offering some 3 way adjustment. Was that white one for sale a little while ago? I distinctly remember a white Supra with those wheels that I saw on the 'bay that I was highly considering Yea it was a really nice car shame to break but it gave my aero life and the track car many panels ,dash etc things it needs plus I have a spare shell / arches for when I stack it trying to keep up with Richard Edited August 5, 2013 by chazuk (see edit history)
pedrosixfour
thanks for the advice on the diffuser have you seen anyone running this setup ? just wondering if I could get ideas of how to do it ? This is only an example of what I think Rich is talking about mate. While I was tooling around at the back of my own car I decided to attempt my own take on a rear diffuser with whatever I could find lying around the garage (that point is crucial!) I ended up finding a sheet of aluminium that had started life as a forklift roof and was just big enough for the idea I had in mind. It is attached to the rear sub-frame, takes over the roll of fuel tank guard and pops out through the rear bumper at a ridiculously steep (for a diffuser) angle. ManwithSupra
This is only an example of what I think Rich is talking about mate. Spot on dude I don't think however its ever been done with a Shine Diffuser, so you are on your own on that I am afraid. It should not be too much of an issue to make, as its under the car it does not really matter how it looks as long as its functional. This is the part I am referring too, air would not be forced under and through the diffuser only behind it which then in turn makes it a pretty much useless as a diffuser and makes it more of a drag generator/parachute. This is what I am getting at... of course drawn very quickly, not to a technical standard or any sort of scale but shows what I mean about the airflow and how it can cause drag if its not sealed off at the back. chazuk
Thanks for the pics of the rear diffuser looks like more work , quick update matt has taken loads of pictures thanks mate here are just a few he's welded up all the holes brake light, ariel etc , fitted aerocatches in boot lid and bonnet, sorted out the arches and any dents most of the custom work has been going on the front bumper mounting the dual oil coolers flush while leaving enough room for the ic pipework also only noticed when I bought steves coolers both tabs on the oil coolers on side had been cut off so a custom bracket had to be made , next is the quick release front and tow hook then hopefully will see some primer. Ordered a apr 300 spoiler from Paul @whifbltiz thanks for sorting a good price mate http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/6497/4mt5.jpg http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/4842/6a41.jpg http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/9265/ib0p.jpg http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/2551/hgxk.jpg http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/6218/ednr.jpg http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/3056/u10j.jpg http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/160/ev83.jpg http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/2690/c0ep.jpg http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/3008/mv26.jpg http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/2233/fq7d.jpg http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/7470/9t85.jpg http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/8696/ezs7.jpg http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/7784/owcw.jpg http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/186/7w1n.jpg http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/2484/j2co.jpg http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/5293/3nhw.jpg http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/7605/o1bc.jpg http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/4499/i1cd.jpg http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/252/0l5n.jpg http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/1286/5mkd.jpg Edited September 4, 2013 by chazuk (see edit history)
