mull1986
I own a wonderful 94 auto and one day a sensor fell out of my "bulb shaped" part of the exhaust at the end of the down pipe leading from the manifold, the other end goes through a bung in the floor near the break pedal and connects to the wiring loom half way up the carpeted part of the centre console. This sensor is held on by two nuts to a plate welded to the "bulb" and has only two wires, one white and one black. Everything I have read about always seems to lead to the two lambda sensors above in the manifold and these are not the issue. Can anybody give me a name of this sensor and/or share a link to a company in the UK or i can get one from please, would be a massive help!!!! thomo8568
Cat overheat sensor, not sure on proper name. Not really needed you can just tuck it up out the way and bung up the hole in the cat. I don't think Ive had one since I've had car.
mull1986
I have just found one on ebay but the end of the sensor seems nothing like mine, could this be a product upgrade and wont matter or would i need to find a sensor with a longer end in the cat? thanks
mull1986
So you only have the 2 lambda and none in the cat, I would rather bung it up than pay out for another if its not needed but will this make her run lean?

Scooter
When people decat their cars this sensor is not replaced and the decat pipes have no hole for them. The sensors are simply tucked up out of the way. If your sensor plate is intact ie there is no exhaust gases leaking out then you can just tuck the wire out of the way, if it is leaking you will need to blank it off. If you want to replace it try Keron on here he should have some spares
