Hey guys,

Just a wondering really if there was any way of identifying an A01B torsen diff from the outside (obv if you didnt have the car it came out of so you coudlnt check the plate).

Might be looking for one at some point so thought would be useful to know what I could about them before hand..

Cheers fella's

I think you would need to open the diff plate to see into the "Pumpkin"itself. I certainly cant tell the difference just by looking at the casing.

Cheers matey, thought that might be the case.. >

Anyone got any pictures of the 2 'insides'? A01A vs A01B

I don't think there is a real definite way of knowing whether a diff thats off a car is Torsen or open without checking inside mate.

AFAIK a torsen will act very similar to an open diff when wheels are not in contact with the ground.

Legend dude!
