scott87
Ok i know im going to need a socket to remove the knock sensor but what size will it need to be and i assume it will need to be a deep socket. If anyone can advise that would be great. I should probably ask for the title to be changed to what size socket on reflection. d-_-b
Can't confirm the size but can confirm it will need to be a deep socket due to the electrical connector on the end of it.

scott87
27mm Wow ok didnt think it was that big. The starters gotta come off then!
Scooter
why do you say that?
scott87
why do you say that? Doesnt look like a 27mm will fit past it? Could be wrong, not that its hard to undo the 2 bolts on the starter.... If it will just bolt straight out thats an even better job
Scooter
I'd have thought coming at it from above might be easier? Edited March 6, 2013 by Scooter (see edit history)
scott87
The intake is way. You have to go between something and the starter.
Scooter
I have an engine in the garage, I'll try and see what's involved with the rear sensor, I measured the front knock sensor which is directly accessible by a socket from the side.
