Rob_Mitchell
i wanted something different to blue mate If your doing a full loom tuck and get rid of all the life support stuff then it might work. Alot of civics and VW's do it, not my cuppa tea though...
ashbuster
yeah mate the fusebox and battery will be in the boot and the loom tucked ect.. i was thinking something abit different than the usual bodycolour and black, i will eventually be going single turbo too
Westy
Seen this pic on an S14 with a single 2JZ and gold bay the other day...looks good with black IMO, but not sure it'll work with blue!?
ashbuster
here is one similar but different blue, the gold looks similar too but glossy
Stevo
That one looks ok I think but maybe that's because the gold wheels tie it all together???
ashbuster
i will be having goldish wheels mate too this sort of style anyone know what wheels these are? Edited March 4, 2013 by ashbuster (see edit history)
Rob_Mitchell
I think if you tie in other things with the colour, it will work, like wheels... intercooler pipes look cool too. Not something i would want but then not everyone would want what i have.. best of luck matey

wewsupra
here is one similar but different blue, the gold looks similar too but glossy im not to keen ash mate what other ideas you got mate
ashbuster
other option was silver but not too sure, ive sprayed the bottom on an intercooler pipe, its a different gold to the one above so ill have to put it against the car in the side vent and see if it goes. i think it will but the inside of the engine bay will have candy blue and polished parts so the gold bay might make the other parts stand out more which is what im looking for. something to make the candy and shiny parts stand out
Rob_Mitchell
To make chrome/polished items 'pop' you cant beat gloss black! but thats sooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring. Have you looked into lairy colours? lime green would look mad, i do still think the more items you colour code to match then it would work... just the bay wont work
ashbuster
yeah i will be having gold wheels mate and ive tried the intercooler pipe up against the car ill just try and get the pik sent to the laptop. im not a fan of green to be honest. i did think to do it black but alot of people use black
