Crash Bandicoot
Just took dash out and removed the after market double din cd player, the wires from the car to the CD player via two black boxes/plug ins... Problem is someone has cut the boxes/plug ins off and spade connected everything, I'm going to chop the box/plug ins off mine and spade my CD player into where the old one is. I understand the speaker wires and the big yellow permanent 12v but don't know about the rest. Can anyone help? Hopefully with knowledge of what colour wires the car side do/supply what. All info extremely appreciated!
Kaan W
Yellow - Ignition Red - Constant Black - Earth Blue - Remote for amp Orange - Lighting Thats pretty uch all you need, also if settings and radio stations reset everytime you switch the ignition off swap the red and the yellow around. trebor69
Before you do any cutting get a look on Ebay as I'm positive they do the replacement stereo loom from the white connectors further back ....thus giving you the black box connectors that you have missing .......less than a fiver too
Kaan W
While on the topic is this the connector that connects the stereo harness to one of the 3 white connector plugs at passenger side of the the transmission tunnel?

Crash Bandicoot
Cheers for the posts guys. I had to cut and connect it as it was cut the car side, so had nothing to plug and play into. Made my speaker brackets now, just trying to find out which is positive and negative in the doors now.
listy
They should be different sizes mate, and will only fit one way on the speakers. If not, multimeter the wires, and you'll find out which is the positive
Crash Bandicoot
I don't have a multi meter to hand... :/ there's a green and blue wire on the driver side. Which is positive? Anyone know??

Crash Bandicoot
I have a block connection, the blue and green wires go into it, then plug into the box which houses the standard speakers. May just smash the box up and see which goes the the black and red wires in the box as the box is moulded together and I can't trace it back
