chazuk
Looking at swapping a na rear diff and drive shafts into a tt will the rear hubs be the same or will I need to change these for na hubs, both cars have abs .
David P
As long as they're both small-casing-diffs there's no need to swap the drive-shafts, it's a plug&play fit, but you may need to swap the prop-flange on diff. Input appreciated. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?285699-Supra-Prop-shaft-lengths-and-fitting Edited February 28, 2013 by David P (see edit history)

David P
Yes, but you'll need to swap the prop-shaft because the large-casing diff has a longer nose than a small-casing diff. You'll only need to change one drive-shaft. Edited February 28, 2013 by David P (see edit history)
bignum
pretty sure tt driveshafts are thicker than na ones, swap both.
David P
That's another conundrum. T.T. shafts are thicker than N/A shafts, but over time Mr T. has reduced the diameter of both, so an early N/A shaft is around late T.T. dimensions. I found the dimensions and years info on a U.S. forum once, but can't find it again.
LOGIE
I looked into this a while ago and according to ToyoDIY i parts are the same for NA and TT. Just whether you have ABS sensors it the only problem. 42330 (RH) Both NA and TT 42340B (LH) Both NA and TT

David P
The conundrum deepens, maybe Mr T. just substituted the earlier thicker T.T. shafts with the original N/A spec for all small-casing diff applications. I've just spent half an hour searching, but can't re-find find the info I mentioned. Not what I was looking for, but a little more info. http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/a80-mkiv-discussion/81034-more-driveshaft-help-replacement-not-identical.html Edited February 28, 2013 by David P (see edit history)
Jos
I have both the big diff and small diff driveshafts, and they are the same length, the width difference in the small and big diff is only 5 mm. And I believe the facelift driveshafts are a little thinner than the pre facelifts. You've got your widths and lengths confuddled. Edited February 28, 2013 by David P (see edit history)
