VVTI Blowoff valve help

If you are dumping pressure into the air then its atmospheric, if you are recirculating then no air should be dumped and a small chirp should be heard, unlike a whooosh off the dump valve

 

Yeah I'm atmospheric I get a whoosh :p

But being auto does that change it ? It very rarely whooshes, only if I lift off the pedal from turbos going

What's meant to happen with a VVTi and BOV ?? :o

 

Iv got one on mine and it's been alright

 

A MAF measures the air coming through the intake, then tells the ECU how much fuel to put into the engine. When a large amount of that air gets dumped overboard in order to make crap noises, the ECU still think X air is present and adds that amount of fuel, when in fact Y air is present and the engine over fuels.

Is there any signs to tell if it's running lean or is it like chlamydia can't tell :innocent: haha
