Hacksaw ok ?

Did mine in the driveway, hardest part was removing the bushes, used a whole cutter to remove the rubber inner then a hacksaw to remove the steal collar inside. As stated fitting the poly bushes is press fit by hand :)

p.s. mine were completely shot but never knocked.

Pressing them out would be the best bet but you need a socket the exact size so as not to damage the arm (think its between 33 and 34mm), hacksawing them out is another route but remember that you are cutting the steel from Aluminium and you will have to be very careful, I was stuck for time so took them to a friend/garage and let him cut them out .

Have had car up on ramp and found that not only is the top bush badly damaged also the balljoint has alot of play compared to other side so will need the full upper rear arm kit from toyota to sort problem so thats a nice £450 out of na-t savings :(

But at least car will be sorted and hopefully the overtime will continue at work so can build na-t fund back up asap

Thats the best way chap. handling should always prioritise over power. Power is no good if the car handles like poo :)
