Justin
Right here we go: Problem: When going hard round a hairpin something dodgy seems to happen to the suspension. Driving hard nice and smooth then something seems to clonk and the steering wheel vibrates like mad and then the car vibrates even more when I apply the brakes after this. It seems like something shifts whilst going round a tight bend. This vibration then stays, sometimes goes away, but mostly stays for all types of driving. I've had this problem for some time but only just noticed that it is triggered by going hard round a bend. I have changed shocks in between times, checked brake disk runout, torqued up all suspension bolts. There appears to be nothing visibly wrong after close inspection. Would old knackered anti roll bar bushes cause this? Any other suggestions? Thanks guys.

Sorry m8, you looked for that......... Anyway have you check your 'wheel nuts!' You sarcky bugger. I mean something that is not within the expectations of the normal suspension operation, i.e. 'something unusual' Dom Wheel nuts are all present and torqued. Anyone know how many bushes there are total to be potentially replaced? Chris Wilson where are you OB 1?

Justin, I know what this is, I've had it, when driving hard, and cornering really fast look to your left and you'll notice your misses beating you over the head with the steering lock *CLONK* *CLONK* screamin "slow down you effin maniac" the resultant impact on your head sends the spine into shock so you feel vibrations for a few mins after. ...if it aint that..... ... .. . its probably a leak in your donkeyflange
FaithStalker
oh, and have you tried kickin the tyres with your foot.......
Justin
Yes I have kicked all four tyres. They seemed to be a bit rubbery but I hear this is normal. Haven't checked the donkey flange yet, I'll wait till she gets home from work. Thanks for your help twisted fella .
Ian C
Could this be those loose subframe bolts I've heard about...? CW has checked and tightened a few recently. I apologise for making a serious contribution to this thread - to make up for it, here is a cow. -Ian
Justin
Thanks for the serious response Ian. Yes Terminator checked the front sub frame bolts for me in his garage. He torqued up all the bolts to spec. Cheers
Chris Wilson
Don't like the sound of that at all... Wants looking at in case somethings about to break or fall off. Can't think of what, but nonetheless....
