Iky
Hello, What grease should i use to re-grease balljoints on the suspension arms. The stock grease seems to be very runny and dark yellow coloured. As it's yellow, I assume it's similar to normal Lithium based stuff eg, Castrol LM which is also yellow in colour. But seen as it's a balljoint which is constantly moving, I was thinking maybe Moly C.V grease would be best. I'm kind of unsure which one would be best. If somebody technical could please advise. Many thanks, Iky.
np89
emmm if you're seeing grease coming out of the balljoints, they're fucked lol new balljoint mate is the fix for this
markssupra
As long as theres no play in the ball joint socket, get new boots and repack with Lithium grease, not too much though as it will just squeeze out again. You can get new boots off Ebay, get the size closest and wire wrap the boot.
Iky
emmm if you're seeing grease coming out of the balljoints, they're fucked lol new balljoint mate is the fix for this No bud, balljoints are fine, I'm just re-newing the grease. My idea was that any new grease is going to be better than the 15 year old one currently in the joints. I was hoping this would atlease increase the longevity of the joints. I was just unsure what type of grease to use. As long as theres no play in the ball joint socket, get new boots and repack with Lithium grease, not too much though as it will just squeeze out again.
