scott87
Just wondering with my na, now its got a full exhaust 2nd decat and manifold removing first cat, panel filter would it be necessary to have it mapped by fitting a piggyback? Granted Nat will happen at some point but I am thinking in the meantime?
JasonR24
Not worth it at all mate. I know you can get chips but I don't think its worth it at all on an NA. Gains would be like 2bhp and would no doubt make it run rich... an NA is an NA. Don't go hunting power just enjoy it

I've seen dyno's of n/a's hitting quite good dyno results with full exhaust and replacement ecu, over 200at the wheels, but they were standalone ecu not piggyback. But im not looking for power, was just wondering as ill have the ecu before the other turbo bits whether it would make any changes.
listy
Until you go NA-t its pointless doing anything really. Not much gain for too much money.

As i said it was just something in the meantime, but if i wont notice a difference ill just hold off fitting the ecu for a while.
Nodalmighty
Scott K might have his e-manage blue going spare at some point in the future. If you are copying his spec then this would be virtually mapped ready for you to plug and play. Lyndon.
thomo8568
If you are going NA-T, then I would say give it a go. Your not going to make loads of extra power. But if you make 15bhp I'm sure it would make the NA feel better. People say the mines ecu makes a differance so there must be some gains to have. Just depends on cost of mapping really and how long you are planing on staying NA for?
Tricky-Ricky
As the N/A doesn't come out of closed loop until quite late in the RPM/load scale your only going to be able to tweak WOT anyway, unless you can fool the ECU into going open loop much earlier, so if you not tuning yourself, i would suspect it would be an expensive map for not much gain. Just depends on cost of mapping really and how long you are planing on staying NA for? That's a very valid point actually. People will normally tell you that the oem ecu is tuned as good as you are going to get, but those with the Mines and other tweaked ecu's always report better performance so maybe there are some gains to be had. I know on the FTO there is a tuning garage (Japsec I think) who claim to squeeze another 40hp or so from just adding a simple piggy back and tuning it. So if you are going to go NA-T anyhow and going to use a piggy back, then why not give it try.
