supraGZaerotop
while having my supras geo done today i took the time to have a good nose around, took some pics etc. noticed this wet spot around the front of the gearbox i believe it to be. any ideas on where its coming from? its not alot and may just be build up, its just in places it look more fresh than old! asked my mate the mech and he said dont worry about it, its nothing just an old car, Edited July 31, 2014 by supraGZaerotop (see edit history)
listy
Lower oil pan? Mine had this exact same thing, even looked the same. Cleaned it all off, then removed the lower sump (black bit) and revealed it using ultra high temperature sump sealant. Available from most parts shops. Not had a build up or any problems since. DodgyRog
Also check behind the the cam cover at the top/back of the engine, it's a regular oil leak spot Can be either Cam Cover Gaskets gone hard or just need to nip the Cover bolts, just make sure you don't over tighten them, they are literally only nipped up, hence them coming loose......... 7nm if memory serves me right, but check that number before relying on my brain
Steve Paine
Cam covers should be torqued at 5.5nm. Trust me I cracked my inlet cover and hadn't even got to 5.5nm. Now rely on touch and not over tightening. http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q666/stevepaine1/Supra%20tidy%20up/F0DA154D-AA71-41D6-B795-62D9B2BA94CF-6185-0000024FDC83E954.jpg
