Heater problems on mkiv n/a supra. Matrix as the last resort?

So I've been reading on this forum about all the possibilities that could affect the heater. Had a proper mechanic work on it now too to sort it. Tried the airlock think, it got hot, but rev the engine over 5000 rpm and you're back to square one. Then he noticed that the thermostat didn't open, replaced that and all the pipes in the system gets hot like it should do and he's happy with that but still scratching his head about the heater. The pipes going into the matrix get really hot so it should work. Then he checked the arms on the passenger side and that works properly. The previous mechanic put radseal in for some reason about 6 weeks ago. My mechanic reckons it might be the radseal blocking the matrix up. He suggested undoing the hoses and pressure wash it out. That sound like my only option? I did do a bit of a powerslide on Monday and suddenly the heaters blew warm for a few miles until I gunned it again. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
