_Shane_
Disconnecting plugs yesterday when preparing the engine bay to be sprayed and my mate broke a clip on a plug as he disconnected it No real biggy but when i was connecting everything back up this evening and got round to this plug i noticed the connected were the same no matter what way i would connect the plug. Can someone if they have a minute free pop out to their supra, disconnect the plug and tell me what color wiring should go to what pin, from this i will then know what way to connect back the plug. The plug will go on 1 of 2 ways and i dont want to take a guess. What is this plug for by the way does anyone know? It has 4 wires going into the connection and just unclips like a normal plug
hodge
Look at what it clips onto, it should be distinctive which way it goes.
mellonman
as hodge said you should be able to tell by looking at the plug , but i will have a look for you when i get home if someone hasent already let you know
Jos
I was putting parts of my wiring back together yesterday and wondered the same thing, you can put the plug on the other way around, even if its not broken! Don't know also how to put it back correct, maybe it doesn't matter? But if anyone could check that would be great.
LOGIE
Can it actually go on the wrong way? have you tried?
ashbuster
could disconnect the battery and try it both ways
James
The tab and collar on the right hand side are larger than on the left.
_Shane_
that could be down to the angle i took the pic mate, but i will double check ^^^^^ And as the guys said, you can connect this on both ways
James
From that angle, the left hand side would appear bigger if they were the same as it is closer to the camera.
Jos
You can really fit it both ways, I've tried that, didn't have to remove battery since all the wiring is out , so nothing could get damaged electrically. The plug probably connects to a pressure switch or something, so it could be that it doesn't matter how the wires are connected to the internal switches (if that makes sense), will try to check when I have the time! mellonman
Well this might not help as my sensor is in a different angle then yours but here is a couple of pics, My plug had the cut out pointing towards the car/engine
