Pig
Hi all, Please can I ask for your assistance regarding the wiring for a fuel system in a single. Last time I mapped the car, we were unable to get enough fuel from the bosch fuel pump as the pump couldn't get the required current. It was suggested to me that I need to get a thicker wire and take a feed directly from the battery. I believe the other option would be to mount the battery in the boot but I do not want to do this if it can be avoided. The other point worth mentioning at the moment is that prior to this mapping session, my fuel pump ECU failed and was bypassed. Do I need to replace this or is there a simple way round it? When the pump was fitted, I believe it was setup to alway pump even when the required fuel pressure has been reached. I also don't know if this is relevant. Fuel pressure is currently just under 40psi on tick over. Thanks Jon
