Guest peterguk
OK, as per title, i have the warning triangle, but no error codes. I did have ABS light too, but diagnosed O/S/F sensor. Replaced it with new, ABS light now not lit, so assuming ABS fault fixed. Warning light comes on with ignition, and stays on. Have topped up brake fluid, checked all bulbs etc. Any ideas? Guest peterguk
Thanks for your replies guys. OK, not the handbrake. And all doors, bonnet etc shut. And light comes on with ignition. Never goes out til ignition switched off. And it is static, not flashing. No other dash lights on e.g. slip control or ABS.

Scooter
When you first turn on the ignition do all of your check lights come on on the top left and right of the dash? eg oil cans engine light etc etc?
Guest peterguk
OK, i've disconnected the battery to do a hard reset. All external bulbs working. When switching ignition on, i get 5 warning symbols on the right which all extinguish. I get 3 on the left. They all extinguish. I note on the right, that the ECU waring light is the first. Then there is a gap before the next warning symbol. Should there be a symbol in the gap? I also get two slip control notations in the dash which extinguish. When doors shut, belt on, the only other light lit is handbrake which extinguishes when handbrake is released.
Chris Wilson
I would check the brake fluid level switch is connected and working.
Nic
Active spoiler? The warning light for the active spoiler is usually speed related ie. the warning light would come on at the speed the spoiler is meant to deploy. I think I'd start by checking the plugs and wiring in the back of the speedo unit, it could just be a lose wire or bad connection. The service manual may provided some more suggestions, I've uploaded a copy here if needed. http://www.filehosting.org/file/details/409642/JZA80_Service_Manual.zip
kargato
My car had this issue since I bought it, and I just recently solved it thanks to chris and others pointing me in the right direction. turned out to be the active spoiler ecu and a airbag lamp that was stuck on.... In my case, the active spoiler ecu was keeping the master warning lamp on regardless of speed... have a read http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?282764-Mil-on
