Selling top end Supra's

Recommended Posts

He's not my pal, he was just someone's wasted sperm. He was banned, not long ago for, well just being him. But he's back on here under a different username so I'm told.

He wasn't banned, he constantly badgered us to delete his account in a stroppy flounce type maneuver, so we did as per his request. I guess simply "not using the site any more" wasn't possible with his mindset.

Perhaps he thought this way he could re-register under another name in order to continue billy bulls hitting and messing people about with buying and selling stuff. Oh dear. By the way if you do spot any suspicious users/PMs like that, do let us know with the report post button :)

Probably being extremely dumb but briefly what was the deal with Envy?

http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?181041-Envy-Performance-Limited-In-Liquidation&highlight=envy

Have a read. Company went bust, continued trading under old name on here, eventually leaving lots of people waiting for parts/refunds that never materialised.

Wasn't just here though, they were also traders on the GT-R and 350Z forums.

Gaz of Envy then went on to win over £100000 playing poker, which added more fuel to the already growing fire.

too be fair theres not many people that have 25k to spend on what is basically a big toy, and alot of those people wont spent that sort of money on a 16yr old jap car... simples really

This! Especially when said toy can only be used to its potential in the driest of weather, a bit of grease or water on the road and its going to get dangerous very quickly. Given the UK's weather, something like a skyline/evo is much more useable, if less reliable and good looking. And 25K is a decent deposit for a house!

Out of interest what is meant by this?

Do Envy have a bad rep?

As per the other replys, plus they plumbed in the stock turbos on my mates car the wrong way, which caused it to overboost and destroyed the engine. This was confirmed by a very knowledgeable trader on here.

For that reason, i'd want nothing to do with a car they've worked on.

Yeah but you can't race a house! And you can sleep in your car lol.

If something makes you happy then do it! You have one life. I love loads of cars and into anything with a motor but i still think the supra looks stunning and the more i learn about them the more i love them

Modified cars in general are a no go for the vast majority of 'normal' people. So you are already down to the general smaller 'enthusiast' market. Then you are further limited in these cases by only appealing to the power obsessed fraction of that market, and then further still by the fraction of those that specifically like the Supra's look/feel/budget.

To cap it all a high proportion of power hungry modifiers want to be part of the creation process as much as the actual using process and so don't want someone else's finished article. 9K for a standard'ish car + 15K (over time) and they get a car that's looks the way the want, they chose the spec and they enjoyed the 'journey'.

Don't want to drag this off topic but after reading the threads and Gaz Walkers replies and attitude before and after his poker win... Mind = blown at that load of ****

Some people need shooting...

I think the number of people who want a Supra in the UK is fairly small as it is.... then when you factor in that only a fraction of that number of people want a huge power RWD car for the road, and an even smaller number have the funds to buy such a car, that's why big power cars stay up for sale for a long time I think.

A lot of people are perfectly happy with Stock/BPU without ever having to go for more power, I thought about going single on my old car for a while, but when I really thought about it, it wasn't what I really wanted, and dumping a large sum of money into an old japanese car that was working just fine, seemed like a waste of money.
