Fitz
So hopefully if everything goes to plan the 3rd NA engine will be going in the Supra this Saturday so thought it might be best to do a little service on the car just to keep my chances of not breaking this one as high as possible. What things are worth changing whilst we have the opportunity to do it and any brands you can recommend? Things like oil etc and what quantity I would need. Or anything that usually wears down an is ideally replaced. The donor car hasn't been in the country long and has about 70K on the clock (unsure of service history) Any input would be greatly appreciated. Josh42
+ with being a new engine and your unsure of history Etc, I personally would do Cambelt, tensioner and idler If you really wanted to do a full service, you could change your diff and gearbox oil too. Fitz
Haha. I won't be changing anything big on the car. Just small serviceable items or things that may break given general age and wear. Plus, I need to make sure that James is OK with the mini service I have planned
Fitz
In terms of oil/coolant/brake fluid etc. how many Litres would I need to buy? (Apologies for what may seem a silly question)

Fitz
Waterpump? Heard that's a bit of a hassle to do?
Josh42
Its less hassle than breaking down or having to do it with the engine in.
straightsix
Heard that's a bit of a hassle to do? Not if the lump is in front of you - and worth doing if replacing the cambelt (as well as all the idlers)
listy
If no one else tells you, when I get home Tuesday night/ Wednesday, I'll look in the service manual and tell you how much of what you need. Off the top of my head, its 7 litres of oil, 2 litres of power steering fluid, and 3 or 4 of brake fluid. Don't quote me on that though.
