listy
I can't imagine there being a "special" way to cut it, but I'd cut up your old one first, so if you make a mistake, you don't kill the carbon one!

Benjy
You can get clear covers if you want to see the pulleys.
Swampy442
You need special cutting tools to cut carbon fibre, a normal saw will just splinter and delaminate it. Also, exposed cam gears are gay
Rob_Mitchell
I have loads of carbon. You need a very good jigsaw and new blade

Benjy
I don't get it. If you want to see pulleys, what's wrong with a clear belt cover? Exposing cambelts is dumb imo

hodge
I've done a few, it's really easy. Mark the area you want to cut, use a wood drill bit, and drill around the outline, odviously inside the line, then use a round file you join the holes together so to speak so the unwanted plastic part galled out. I then used a flapper where on the end of my drill to smooth out all the lines, and a half round file to finish off. It's not a long process, I could do 1 in an hour or so. Jellybean
I did the same as hodge on my gauge pod, just get some masking tape to stop the drill slipping, start with a small wood drill piece, drill small holes inside the are you want to cut out, then use a file to file it out to desired window outline Should look awesome, I do like when you can see the after market can gears, a lot of engineering goes into them, its a shame to hide them

Drew_flux
As per hodge, duct tape first and then cut it. carbon splinters in your hand are not fun. learnt that one the hard way.
