Hassan
Thats what i think aswell its the boost gauge. I need to get another one to test. If its not that what else could it be? The hole in the rr was 2" i belive.
buster
Are you running a boost controller as well as the Rr is not always spot on as in a no two cars are the same

Swampy442
Unless you have a wastegate or boost gauge issue then it shouldnt be possible to push 1.6bar
Benjy
UK or J-spec?
Hassan
J-spec vvti. Can a dumpvalve cause any issues?
buster
Time to invest in a good quality electronic boost controller bud will keep the boost regulated
Hassan
Ive got a blitz one will install it and see how it goes.
Swampy442
A dump valve doesnt control the boost pressure. Chance the boost gauge first and see whats what, and dont cane it too much, if it is running 1.6bar youre gonna have problems!
Hassan
I know it doesnt control boost but i read it somewhere that dumpvalves are known to cause boost issues on vvti engines. Well i will try a new gauge first and see what happens.
Benjy
Just fit a boost controller and see what that says. If the controller and boost gauge agree with eachother, there's no need to buy a new boost gauge is there? But yes. 1.6bar on ceramics = turbo's likely to sh!t themselves. Hassan
Ive not had a chance to fit the boost gauge yet. But was wondering would overboosting affect my afr? Since they are stable.
Hassan
Problem fixed. Its a faulty boost controller. Installed a boost gauge and its max out at 18-19psi which is bang on for a Tom's ecu.
